Lionplan

Privacy

Lionplan is a student project. It is unofficial and not affiliated with Columbia University or Barnard College.

Without an account

Everything stays in your browser: your plan, profile, what Leo remembers and your chats with Leo. We don't store any of it on our servers.

With an account

You sign in with your Columbia or Barnard Google account. We never see or store a password. We save:

We don't save your grades or transcript (a transcript you import is read in your browser and only the class codes are kept), and we don't save your chats with Leo; they stay in your browser.

Leo, the AI

When you message Leo or ask for picks, your plan and the conversation are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the reply. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, that data isn't used to train their models.

Screenshots

If you import classes from a screenshot, the image is sent to Anthropic to read the course list and isn't stored by us. Only the classes you choose to add are kept in your plan. Transcript PDFs are read entirely in your browser and never uploaded.

Problem reports

If you use "Something wrong?" on a requirement, we save your message, which program it's about, your school and class year, your email if you're signed in, and your course list if you leave that box ticked. Only the two of us who run Lionplan can read reports, and we use them only to fix requirements.

Visit counts

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies or track you across sites, and it never sees your plan.
